A Hong Kong Migration Trilogy
"Table for two?"
Jennifer (Cherie Chung) arrives in New York City with dreams of studying drama and reuniting with her boyfriend. Instead, she finds herself under the care of a distant cousin, "Figurehead" (Chow Yun-fat), a uncouth waiter working the Chinatown bustle.
What begins as a clash of classes—the refined student and the rough-edged gambler—slowly dissolves into an unspoken romance amidst the falling leaves of Brooklyn.
Played by Chow Yun-fat
A gambler, a waiter, a man of simple pleasures. He hides a heart of gold beneath a facade of street-smarts and coarse language. His dream is simple: a restaurant by the Atlantic ocean.

Naive yet resilient. She represents the "Autumn"—melancholic transformation. She elevates Figurehead not by changing him, but by seeing him.
